Free Hand Drawings & Paper Collages
I have fun creating collage work through Photoshop & illustrator, but at the same time I still love the tactile experience of cutting out images from old Magazines & Newspapers. I find focus in the process of fitting the cutouts on to the paper as if they were puzzle pieces. Paper collages can be both simple and complex in the way the images are layered or through the message the artist is trying to convey. The paper collages and drawings I created, as you can see here, are an exploration of womanhood, identity, and belonging, creating space, and the formation of cultural icons. Enjoy!
